WAIKATO HUNT CLUB. [by TELEGRAPH. —OWN OOURKSTON OK NT. J Cambridge, Monday. The Waikato Hunt Club Steeplechase, to be held on Wednesday, promises to be a successful meeting. For the Hurdles there ; are twelve acceptances, for the Steeples | nine, for the Ladies' Bracelet fifteen, for j Selling Steeples seven, and for the Novel ; Race six. Messrs. W. J. Hunter and Co. sold the privileges on Saturday. The gates were bought by G. Hamblin, and realised £14 Ins; the publican's booth (B. H. White). £6 ; temperance (Pierce), £1 ; cards (Russell), £1 10s; horse paddock (Allwill), £1 os. AUCKLAND COURSING CLUB. The above club announce a meeting to be held on their grounds, Papatoetoe, on Weekday, 23rd instant. The programme consist of two events, viz., Unlimited All-aged Sweepstake of £2 10s each, and a St. Leger
Sweep of £2 each. Nominations for both events close at the Commercial Hotel on Saturday next, at nine p.m.
