For the 1 last five years 1 have carried on business on !, my own account. I had £5 to start with, and no debts. I paid my way for the first 1 two years, after which business began to 1 fall off, and ever since 1 have been working at a loss, but have held on in hope that 5 business would improve. Two years ago I i bought a section of land in Pukckohe for 1 £35, and built a cottage at a cost of a further £35. I have tried to sell, but have ' not been able to do so. Ido not think it will realise the amount it is.mortgaged for, ' £70. My unsecured liabilities amount to ' £105 3s od, of which £40 19s is trade account, and the balance household bills. My only asset is furniture, which I estimate at £10. Trade is so bad that I cannot pay my way at present, and it is impossible to think of making any offer to the creditors.
