Arthur and Bubble's Weekly Report.There have been nine auction sales held this week ; there has been a good attendance at the whole. Monday : Clearing-out sale of salvage stock of tweeds, clothing, &c., at Mr. Dal ton's .shop, Queen-street. Good prices were obtained. Also, a sale of drapery, &c., at the mart. Tuesday and Thursday: Sales of properties by order of the Registrar of the Supreme Court. The whole were purchased by the mortgagees. Wednesday anil Thursday : Sale of household furniture anu effects at the mart, and private houses, Jervois Road, Ponsonby, and Kyber Pass Road. Fair prices were obtained. Thursday: Clearing-out sale of groceries, &c., at the shop of Mrs. Casley, Kyber Pass Road, first-class prices were realised. Tuesday and Friday : Sales of poultry, produce, fruit, groceries, etc., at the mart. At the early part of the week the supply was very small. Butter, both fresh and corned, of good quality, much wanted. Cheese is in great demand ; but little to hand. There was a fair supply for the sale on Friday, but no fresh butter, and but little cheese. The supply of poultry was large, and all sold well. No pigs entered ; there was a good inquiry. A large number of rabbits sold at fair prices. A large business was done at good prices. The following prices have been realised Common fowls, in fair order, Is 2d to Is 4d ; good condition, Is 5d to 2s ; brahmas (dark and light), is to 3s 4d ; bantams, 9d to Is 3d ; golden hamburgs, 3s ; buff cochins, 2s Cd ; white dorkings, 2s 2d ; ducks, Is (id to 2s 5d ; geese, 3s tid to 3s 8d ; turkeys, os 3d to 3s yd ; canaries, 2s 3d to 6s Gd ; albino parrot, 21s Gd ; dead rabbits, &id to 6Jd ; potatoes (table), in lines, £3; smaller lots (sacks charged) 3s 3d to 3s Cd ; Oainaru (sacks in), 3s 9d ; seed potatoes (sacks charged), 3s to 4s 3d ; carrots, rod, 2s; white, Is 6d ; cabbage, Sd to 2s Id per sack ; turnips, 3d to 8d per dozen ; new potatoes. Id ; artichokes, id ; onions, fd to Id ; sharps, 3s 6d per 1001b ; bran, 2s per sack; maize, 2s 4d ; wheat (fowl), 3s; oatmeal, 12s per 1001b; flour, £9 per ton ; cheese (new), 5d to Cd; old, 2}d to 24d ; local bacon, sides, tiki to 6Jjd ; hams, 4{d to 7|d ; inferior Southern bacon, l|d to 3d ; butter, Sid to 9d ; inferior, lAd to 2). ; honey, in small tins, 3d ; in sections, 3?d*; in large tins, 2d to 2id ; local apples, 3}d to 4Jd ; Hobart, lid to 2jd ; mixed lollies, 4id. A large assortment of groceries, jams, &c., brought good prices.
