INTERCOLONIAL RIFLE CONTEST.
[by TELEGRAPH. association.] Wanganui, Wednesday. Captain Sommekville, Chairman of the New Zealand Rifle Association, in response to several requests, is endeavouring to get a team together for the inter-colonial firing in Victoria, and is writing to different districts to-day. He expects to get MartiniHenry rifles from the Defence Department, where they have 160 on hand. It is believed a good team can be got together.
