BANKRUPTCY.
MEETING OF CREDITORS. W. Semmens.An adjourned meeting of the creditors in the estate of W. Semmens, bankrupt, was held yesterday morning at the Official Assignee's office. The debtor was questioned respecting his farm of 55J acres, and Mr. Drower was authorised to have it valued, payment for this service being contingent on an equity being obtained, whilst instructions were also given to sell the two stacks of seed at Ohaupo. At the request of the creditors, Mr. Lawson promised to ascertain, amongst other matters, whether the transfer of the ownership of the household furniture to the debtor's wife was a valid proceeding.
