[bytelegraph.—own correspondents.] Ranoirirt, Friday. At the licensing meeting, on Tuesday, the accommodation license to Mr. McNeill was renewed, the fee being reduced from £10 to £7 10s. The license for the Huntly Hotel was also renewed. PaeroAj Friday. The inquiry into the allegations made against Constable Mitchell by Mr. R. A. Wight, re the Komata rape case, is proceeding before Major Gudgeon. Several witnesses have been examined, and the inquiry will probably last till Monday. The inquiry is conducted with closed doors.
