TREACHERY OF TIPPOO.
[PKESS ASSOCIATION.]
London, June 14. News has been received from the Arabs at Kinssassa, Upper Congo, that Stanley's party encountered a force of hostile natives. After a fight, half of his escort deserted. Tippoo has failed to keep his promise to send a convoy far Stanley.
June 15.
It is feared that the reported encounter between Stanley and hostile tribes may have been a more serious affair than at first stated, and that tin worst has not been revealed.
