FATAL ACCIDENT BY A FALL FROM A HORSE.
[BY TELEGRAKI. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Waii'UKUKAU, Sunday. Mr. H. J. Baker, a brewer well known in Napier, Wellington, and Auckland, was killed yesterday. He had been on a visit to Waipawa, and when in the act of mounting a horse which he had recently bought, was thrown heavily on his head, lacerating the scalp dreadfully. He was rendered unconscious by the fall. He recovered consciousness shortly afterwards, bub again relapsed, and died afc one o'clock this morning. Mr, Baker was universally respected.
