THE LICENSING LAWS.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS association.] Dune din, Tuesday. Edmunds, the landlord of the Tuapeka Mouth Hotel, was fined £5, and 40s costs, for selling liquor on Sunday, and the conviction was endorsed on the license. The evidence showed that the liquor had only been sold to Mcßory (who is charged with the manslaughter of Connelly), and Walsh both of whom were travellers. The magistrate held that as these men had shouted for others who were not travellers, it was a breach of the Licensing Act.
