[press association.]
Sydney, February 25. The cricket match between the Australian Eleven and Shaw's English Eleven was continued to-day. The weather was fine, but the match did not excite much interest, and consequently the attendance was limited. The first innings of the Australians closed for 75, and being 98 behind their opponents, they had to follow on. Their second essay was even worse than their first, and when the last wicket fell the total stood at 55 ; the Englishmen therefore won by an innings and 43 runs. Lohmann and Briggs bowled well for the visitors, taking eleven and nine wickets respectively. The highest scorers for the Australians wcro Turner 29, Jones 27, and Burton 13.
