Sydney, January 14. The cricket match between Shrewsbury's team and an eleven of N«w South Wales was resumed ta»day, but owing to the previous day's rain the wioket was not in good condition. The attendance was only fair. The following are the scorea: — New South Wales first Innings: McDonnell, 6; Bannerman, 16; Moees, 58; Jonee, 0; AlleD, 0; Huddlestone, 2; Turner, 19 ; Burton, 30 ; Garrett,2; Donnan, not out, 19; [Ferris, 0; extras, 2; total, 154. Shrewsbury's team, first innings : Shrewsbury, 9 ; Read, 11 ; Newham, 16 ; Docker, 4 ; Lohmann, 17 ; Briggs, 10 ; Smith, 3 ; Brann, 0 ; Preston, 3 ; Pougher. 8 ; Pilling, not out, 5 ; extras, 3 : total, 87. Lohmann bowled well for the Englishmen, securing 7 wiokets. Turner, for the New South Welshmen, was even more successful, 8 being placed to his credit. Lillywhite has proposed to take hia team of cricketers to New Zealand, and will play two or three matches against oombined teams of New Zealand if possible. From New Zealand the team will sail direot for England.
