[RBCTER's telegram.] London, September 22. Consols remain at 101 J. New Zealand inscribed stock is 99 J. The Bank of England weekly returns show the total reserve in notes and bullion to be £12,100,000, being an increase of £500,000 during the week. The proportion of the reseVve to liabilities has advanced from 44 to 45 per cent.
The market rate of discount has advanced to 3|- per cent., and is now } per cent, below the bank rate.
