The village settlers are quite content, and none were found desirous of leaving. Prime g beef ia abundant on the ground at threepence per pound on credit." The storekeepers are willing and anxious to supply settlers, who can work either on their sections or on the road. The settlers are the happiest lot of a » people I have been amongst for a long time. J, Several are gone to the Ahipara races toe day. They have, a piano, and dancing goes e on in the Chief's central whare every Safarib day night. They are indignant at having e been regarded as paupers.
