Macky, Logan, Steen, and Co., played on the Domain Ground on Saturday, was won by the former by two runs, and not by Macky, Logan, Steen, and Co, as announced yesterday. Johnstone (28) and Banfield (32) played well for the winners J while Macky (24) and Chatfield (24) batted well for the defeated. Sneddon accomplished the remarkable bowling feat of securing five wiokets with live conseoutivo balls for Macky, Lojjan, Steen, and Co., when Owen and Graham had succeeded in heading their opponents' total by two runs. Mr. H. W. Watkin, secretary of the Onehunga C.C, writes stating that his club has, with the exception of the matches with Auckland Second and Parnell, played all tho games on the Domain Ground. They were unable to raise a team on one of the days on account of the Onehunga regatta, and on Saturday last they did not come in, as the United Second were reported to have retired from the contest. It is the Onebunga i United who will nob play in the Domain ; therefore, he considers his club (Onehunga ! C.C.) should not be blamed because they belong to the same town as the United, THE ENGLISH ELEVEN FOR 1888.
