All the other Ministers hare been re-elected. • ~ It is probable that Dr. Oockburn, Minister of Education, who was defeated for the electorate of Burra. wil* contest some other seat. RESIGNATION OF LORD DEERHURST. Melbourne, March 23. Lord Deerhurst has resigned his appointment as aide-de-camp to Sir Henry Loch. PAYMENT OF~MEMBERS. T Sydney, March 23. In the Legislative Assembly to-day Mr. Fletcher gave notice of a motion in favour of the payment of members. THE COLONIES AND THE QUEEN'S JUBILEE. Melbournr, March 23. A further conference of representatives of the different municipalities of Victoria was held in Melbourne to-day, for the purpose of discussing the most appropriate manner to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee. It was decided to communicate with the other colonies, to ask if they would join in presenting to Her Majesty a crown made of colonial gold, studded with 50 diamonds, to represent the years of her reign. NEW SOUTHWALES BUDGET. _ Sydney, March 23. The delivery of the Treasurer's budget statement is deferred until Wednesday next. INCREASE OP REVENUE. Sydney, March 23. It is announced that a considerable increase is shown in the revenue during the past three weeks. THE FEDERAL CABLE SCHEME. Melbourne, March 23. The Age, in a leader to-day discussing Sir J. Vogel's scheme for a Federal Cable Service, says it has many patent obstacles, and doubts whether the public will obtain an advantage by the cables being in the. hands of Government officials. NEW TASMANIAN MINISTRY. Hobart, March 23. Mr. Fysh has undertaken the formation of a new Ministry, which is expected to be composed as follows: Mr. Fysh, Premier- Mr. Braddon, Chief Secretary • Mr. Dobson, Attor-ney-General ; Mr. Bird, Treasurer ; Mr. Pillengeror Mr. Moore, Minister for Lands and Works.
