LONDON WOOL SALES. London, March 22. The second of this year's series of colonial wool auctions opened to-day before a large attendance of home and foreign buyers. The catalogue comprised 9100 bales, for which the bidding proceeded with fair spirit, but without quotable change in prices, as compared with the closing rates in January-February auctions. Prices for greasy merino were barely maintained, while last sales closing rates were firmly maintained for cross-breds. The total quantity to be offered during the present series, which close on the 27 th April, is limited by the Importers' Committee to 27,500 bales.

A Press Association message says : — Messrs. Jacomb, Son, and 00. have 9000 bales catalogued, of which a third is from New South Wales. There was a full attendance, the bidding being keen and well sustained. The prices were about equal to February closing rates, crossbreds being rather firmer.
