| IEY telegraph.— OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] Te Akoha, Wednesday. The Wesleyan Church circuit quarterly meeting was held at the parsonage to-day, the Rev. H. Bull, chairman of the district, presiding. Representatives were present from_ all pait? of the circuit. The income for the last quarter was stated to bo £5S 17s •SI, which covered the expenditure, and loft a small sum in hand. Tho number of members was reported as being 42. Tho state of the Sunday-schools was satisfactory, the average attendance being in excess of the previous quarter. A committee was appointed to consider the matter of furnishing the parsonage and enlarging tho church at ie Aroha, and tho circuit stewards were authorised to purchase immediately the necessary furniture for the incoming minister, the Rev. S. La wry. Resolutions were passed expressivn of regret at tho removal of the Rev. Mr. Joughin, who goes to flokiariga, and of welcome to Rev. S. Lawry who will shortly take up his residence at Te Aroha. A farewell soiree is being held tonight m connection with Mr. Joughin'a earlydeparture. J A meeting of Te Aroha Cemetery Trustees was held yesterday evening, to take steps tor immediately improving the grounds and arrange matters in connection with the management of the cemetery. Mr. F Pavitt was elected Chairman of the Board of trustees, and resolutions were passed to call for tenders for fencing the reserve, and to canvass tho district for money to carry out the various necessary improvements. A sum of more than £20 is now in hand, and it is anticipated the inquired amount will be raised without difiiuulry.
