TO THE EDITOR, Sik ( Iα your report of the proceedings in this case on the 26th ult, Mr. Theo. Cooper is reported to have aaid, on instruction gives by Mr. S. Jackson jun., "that Mr. Houghton had left the place temporarily without making any provision for carrying on the case." Thie is not so, as I arranged with Mr. Coleman, the eolioitor for the plaintiff, that the motion standing in my name should stand over until I gave him three days' notice of my intention to bring it on, and I informed my olient that the case would not oome on till the December sitting of the Court.—l am, Ac, John Hocohton.
