AUCKLAND CRICKET ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Auokland Cricket Association was held at the clubroom, Albert Hotel, last night, when there were seventeen delegates present. Mr. J. Mumford was voted to the chair. New Clubs.—The Albany C.C. and the Alma C.C. were unanimously admitted to the association as junior clubs. Thb Australian Elevbn.—Lettere were read from the secretary of the Melbourne C.C. and Mr. A. M. Ollivier, Chrietchuroh, re the visit of the Australian Eleven. The latter stated that he had been authorised to arrange the match for the Australians, who proposed to play in Auckland on December 7, 8, and 9, as the team desired to leave by the San Franoieoo steamer on the 10th. He asked the A.C.A. to reconsider their terms, as the proposal to charge £100 for the use of the ground and to ceduot all expenses, left no margin in oase of wet weather. Canterbury had offered £300 nett or half the gross proceeds, or two-tbirda of the net proceeds. After considerable discussion it was resolved, on the motion of Mr. MaoCormiok, seconded by Mr, Barton, "That an alternative offer to that already made to the Australians be given, viz,, two-thirds of the net proceeds for a. three days' match, and that the secretary should give every information in regard to the ground and probable expenses." Match C mmittee.—lt was agreed to pick a selection committee to pick a Twenty-two to play against the Australian Eleven. The following gentlemen were proposed, and on a ballot being taken resulted as follow"! : — R. J. Ifates, 16; J. Mumford, 15; W. B. Barton, 15; W. Beard, 10; W. E. Outhwaite, 8 ; A. E. Dewee, 7 ; J. W. Ryburn, 6 ; D. Lynoh, 5 ; Major Lambert, 2. The first five gentlemen were declared elected. Praotiob Match.—lt was arranged that there should be a practice match for the picking of twenty-two on November 9, and that secretaries of clubs should forward names of probable players to members of committee before Saturday next. An interesting match was played on the Domain ground yesterday afternoon, between St. Stepheu'a native school and Mr. Hazeldine's Eleven. The scores were :—Mr. Hazeldine's, 108 : Kigby, 29 ; Cockerton, 10; B. Ireland, 13 St. Stephen's, 60 : Marshall, 9; Hernanu, 9. In their sec >nd innings Mr. H»zeldine's team had 5 wickets down for 93 runs : Cockerton, 17; Forbury, 18 ; Rigby, 29 not out. Forbury and G.
