Yesterday being the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the Bank of New Zealand, the day was celebrated in the customary manner by a cricket match among the officers of the Bank, on the Domain cricket ground. The teams were designated[World ▼•Australians, and the game resulted in a win for the colonial born team by 6 wickets and 50 runs to spare. In their nt » m J** World put up 69 rune, °* *£* \M ar ' tin scored 33 not out, and W. B. Barton 13. The Australians replied with thesmall score of 34 runs. The World were all disposed of for 26 runs in the aeoond venture, Barton (14) being the only two-figure man. The Australians were thus left 61 to make to win, which they easily scored. When time was called 111 runs were recorded for the loss of four wickets. Morey (20), K. M. MoCausland (30, retired), R. Wood (29), and F. D. Clayton (32), all played good cricket for their runs. Luncheon was nupolied in the pavilion, under the catering of Mr. Canning, of St. Mango's Cafe. During the day, which was not a very favourable one, a large number of visitors attended the ground.
