Our Aratapu correspondent writes: — The ship Halcione left the wharf for London on Saturday, July 10, in tow of the tug Awhina, whoso horrible dog howling horn quite scared the neighbourhood, and gave rise to all sorts of queer and ghastly conjectures. The barque Northern Star has also completed her loading, and only waits the arrival of the s.s. Durham in order to begin her voyage to Sydney. She takes three passengers from these parts. American Co.'B Hop Bitters has restored to sobriety and health perfect wrecks from intemperance. Peruse all.
