There has been a decided fall in the wool market, and at the present moment the state of the wool trade is mors depressed than has been known for rears. Owing to a scarcity of domestic supplies during the past fortnight, there hai been an advance in the value uf mutton, through frnzeu meat has h*rdiy been affected in consequence of the unusually large supplies available. The provincial markets have absorbed a fiir amount of frczju mutton at current prices. The amount of frozen mint imported into London during the first quarter of the current year amounts to 219.743 carcases, as againnt 17(J,10d carcases at the corresponding period la.st year. This year Now Zealand bas sent 155,074 carcases, Australia 2381, and the Kiver Plate 91,405. Tho whole of the Coptic's cargo has been sold at ii'l to 6(1, and the Kuapehu hue also been cleared out. Of the Eldoralie'e consignment 6009 hare changed hand's at 61d to s}d, and 3000 out of 18,000 sheep in the Doric have been sold at 5d to s^rl.
