Some peculiar purchaser* have within the last day or two become the owners of racers. Harry Rickarde, the well-known vocalist, a day or two ago bought May Boy, the winner of the Selling Hurdle Race at Ounedin : and on Saturday Captain Cromarty, who had just arrived in charge of the steamer Artwata, from Fiji, became the owner of Oapella, the winner of the Novel Race at Takapuna.
