A tew lines of flowering shrubs, ornamental and shelter trees, etc., wore cleared at fair rates. Messrs. G. W. Binney and Sons report that they held an extra sale of hides, &s., to-day. over 300 being sold, and the competition keen for every lot offered Extra heavy ox realised up to 4id, heavy 4d to 4^-1 ; cow hides from 3.Jd to 2£d ;. medium weights 3d to 3sd ; calfskins 4Jd to 5d per lb ; country skins, la 2d to Is 4d each ; wool (small lots), 5d to tid per lb. Mr. George Sibbin reports of his sale of hams, bacon, cheese, etc., on Thursday as follows Canterbury bare bacon (»hoalders), very fanlty, Ijd per lb; Canterbury in cloth (seconds), 5d ; Canterbury hams (guaranteed), lOd ; local tobacco, 3d to 4d ; cheese, 3d to 4id ; apples, ljd to li ! d ; potatoes, £4 os per ton. The last of the series of unreserved jewellery sales takes places at Mr. R. Arthur's auction mart to-day, at 11 o'clock, when £1000 worth of goods will be put up and knocked down to the highest bidder. This is positively the last sale of the aeries, and the goods must be cleared, so that those in search of presents or disposed to buy for personal adornment could not have a more favourable opportunity of suitng themselves at their own prices.
