All who are acquainted with Unptnin Kapp, who had been a frequent viultor to this port, will regret to loarn of the losa of hia barque, the Italy. The vessel was lost on a reef to the northward of the Bunker Croup on the Bth November last, while bound from Newcastle to Cooktown with coal. The Queensland Marine Board having considered tno circumstances concerning the loss of tho vessel, decided that the navigation of the barque was conducted most carelessly. Owing to Captain Rapp's long service in command on the Australian coast, for his being a serious loaer by the wreck, and also from the weak state of health in which he appears to be, the Board did not deal with his certificate, but censured him severely for neglect of duty. The Board censored the mate, Christopher Francis, for the careless manner in which the ship's reckoning ■vfus kept, and for other matters. The barque was almost wholly owned by Captain Kapp, and was bat lightly insured. The barquentine Deronport left Melbourne for Newoflstle on tho Bth inst.
