New Zbalanp Hekalp Office. Wednesday evening-. The Customs receipts today were £1704 3s 2d. To-day Mr. K. Arthur offered for sale by auction a number of city and suburban properties, the property of the Into Mr. J. Craig. There wa« a fair attendance, but bidding was exceedingly dull. The only lots sold were lot 11, containing 40 by Sf>i feet.with eight-roomed house thereon, cornel of North Koad and Kent-streot, Surrey Hills, for £750 ; also piece of land aJjoinine lots 30 aud 40, with five-roomed home, for £230. Messrs. B. Tonics and Co. sold by (motion today at thtir rooms lots 13 and 15 of the township of Kuuell. The price realised was ±.'SOO. The fruit sale was well attonded, and fair prices were realised. To-day Messrs. Morton and Jackson offered for sale, under .instructions from Mr. H.G. Tain, th* property at Victoria Avenue, R«tnu*ru, containing acres land with the 12-roomeil house erected thereon ; also the freehold property in Queen-strept owned by Mr. T. B. Hill, chemist, consisting of allotment with frontage of 13 feoc to Queen-street by a depth of 70 feet with the shop thereon erected. There was a, fair attendance, but no disposition was shown to purchase, and, us no satisfactory bid could be obtained for eithor properties, they were withdrawn. WOOL SALE. Mr. A. Buckland hold tho third of bisscaaou'ti wool sales, at tho H&yruarkec, yesterday, when 330 bales were submitted. As compared with the last sale, tho wool was of about similar quality, generally of an inferior description, and the prices at that sale were maintained, but not exceeded.
