New Zealand Herald Office, Wednesday evening. The Customs receipts to-day were EI4OO 10« 4d. Messrs. Samuel Cochrane and Son held a sale this day, at their rooms, Queen street, of oil 1 paintings and water colours. There was a very Urge attendance, and very fair prices wero obtained. Messrs, Richardson and Jackson held a sale of S2 cists of apples to day, from the Apple Farm, lluou Itiver, consisting chietly of stunners and stone pippins. They averaged lis 6d per case.
