MORE CASES OF SMALL-POX AT
SYDNEY. Sydney, August 11. Two more cases of small-pox, of a less dangerous nature, however, than the first one discovered, have broken out on board the s.s. Oceanien. The patients are being put on shore at the North Head quarantine station.
THE FEDERATION QUESTION. Melbourne, August 11. It is understood that a Bill accepting the provisions of the Federation Enabling Bill will be presented to the Victorian Parliament with the least possible delay.
THE OMNIBUS DRIVERS' STRIKE. Melbourne, August 11. The omnibus drivers' strike has not been resumed, the company having agreed to reinstate the men from time to time as vacancies occur.
MELBOURNE MARKETS. Melbourne, August 11
The manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports on the local market as follows Shipping wheat steady at 4s 2d to 4s 3d; malting barley ditto at 4s to 4s 6d; New Zealand oats, feed sort, moderate enquiry at 2s lOd to 2s lid; milling descriptions, very strong at 3s to 3s Id ; New Zealand oats, under bond, 2s Id to 2s 3d.
