TEE ACCIDENT AT CALLIOPE DOCK.

George Atholl, patternmaker, who fell a distance of forty feet into the Calliope Dock on Monday, and owing to his injuries being so severe he was at once removed to the Hospital, died yesterday morning. The unfortunate man had every possible attention paid to him by Mr. Lanigan's men at the dock, and was carefully brought over to town in the 8.8. Calliope and carried on a stretcher to the Hospital. However, he never rallied, and expired yesterday at ten a.m. from the effects of the injuries. Two ribs were broken from the spine and penetrated the lungs, producing hemorrhage of the organs. An inquest will be held at the Hospital at the usual hour this afternoon.
