THE GRASMERE INCIDENT.

It is stated that the whole of the officers and crew of the barque Grasmere are to be paid off, and a new crew shipped for the voyage hence to Portland and from there home. Yesterday the information laid by two of the crew of the barque against Capt. Raymond for threatening language were withdrawn, on Captain Raymond consenting to pay all the expenses and to give the men their discharges. This was done, the men receiving V.G. characters. Mrs. Raymond is rapidly improving in health, and recovering from the effects of the poison taken. We understand that Mr. Hill, the Collector of Customs, intends to hold an inquiry into the cause of the death of James O. Francis, who acted as assistant steward on the barque Graamero on her voyage from London. The man joined the vessel as a passenger, and afterwards was put on the ship's articles in the capacity named.
