WELLINGTON, Monday. The Oamaru Band gave a concert at the Exhibition to-night, and give another on Wednesday evening.

CERISTCHURCH, Monday. About fifty gentlemen, including many who had been friends of the late Mr. Seftou Moorhouße, assembled to-day to take a private view of the statue of the late gentleman, which it is proposed to erect in the Domain. The opinion was unanimously expressed that the statue is not a reasonably good likeness of Mr. Moorhouse. Great disappointment ia felt in consequence.

TIMARU, Monday.

The girl named Julia Connor, who had been missing from I'aeroa since Friday night, and for whom search was made on Saturday and Sunday, was discovered in Peerses Town this morning. She slept out in the open air all Friday night, despite the wintry weather, and got into town very late on Saturday night. She was arrested this morning on a charge of supposed lunaoy. Sho states her mother would poison her.
