BODY OF A MAN FOUND IN THE HARBOUR.

While two men, Richard Levottr and Francis O'Connell, were yesterday afternoon dragging alongside the Northcote Ferry tee, at the Queen-street Wharf, for some iron that had fallen off into the harbour, they picked up the dead body of a man. The Water Police ware iuformed, and Sergeant Clark took charge of the body, and removed it to the morgue, where it now awaits an inquest. It has not been identified. The features are greatly - decomposed. It is concluded that the body must have been in the water for over a week, though strange to Bay no one has been reported to the police as missing. The following is the description of the body Age, about 65 ; height, five feet six inches ; stout build ; fair hair, turning grey ; as are also whiskers and moustaches ; fair complexion. As to olothing, deceased had on coloured moleskin trousers, dark tweed coat and vest, lace-up boots, and merino socks ; also wore white flannel undershirt and coloured outer shirt. In the pockets were found 6s 6d in money, spectacles and case, two clay pipes, knife, pencil, eto., three kerchiefs, and a card addressed, " Thos. Kelly, Post Office, Wade.'.;
