WAI KATO TO DISTRICT NEWS.
[from our own CORRESPONDENTS.J Hamilton, Saturday. As will be seen by your advertising columns, the first meeting of the committee appointed to draw up a plan and prospectus of the proposed Meat Tinning Factory Company for Waikato will be held on Friday next, the 14th inst., at the Public Ball, Hamilton, at two p.m. This will enable members of com* mittee from all parts of the district, including Waitoa, Cambridge, &c., to attend and return by railway the same day. The programme of business to be done is set forth in the advertisement. The names of Messrs. Bullock, Webster and A. Bruce Suttor have been added to the committee. Great preparations are being made that the concert to be held in the Oddfellows' Hall on Thursday next, in aid of tho Catholic Sunday-school and church funds, shall be a success. The services of Miss Staunton, from Auokland, have been secured, and the performance will conclude with the petite comedy, " Bamboozling." Cambridge, Saturday. If the Hamilton District High School has been carried on at but small loss, that of Cambridge has been even more successful, the expenses falling some £34 below the receipts. A Rationalistic association is to be formed here.
