Mr. R. Af.then's weekly report ".—There has been a fair demand for produce of all kind*, potatoes are firmer, all cleared out at a sight advance. Onions are lower in value, could not clear out. Cheese of good quality is in demand at fair prices, second-clas* and inferior difficult to move off. Bicou: <iood locU has sold wall ; care must be Uken in the get-up, and in selection of pips ; it must not be heavy, but well-foil and cared. -utter: atill large quantity of Mecond-class and inferior to ind, hut little Qrit-ciasi. Fruit: Some v.117 fine local-grown to hand, which sold at high prices, Hobart has brought fair prices. Furniture has been in good demand. Propcilles: Seven allotments have been sold privately in Believue Estate, Williamson, Mount Eden, .it £100 to £ICO per allotment, Monday: Sale of unredeemed pledges from Messrs. Bloom and Keesinif, pawnbrokers. A large attendance. fair competition, satisfactory prices. Tuesday morning: Bale of balance of a sto k of groceri at Xl>rt. A fair attendance, prices were very satisfactory. Tuesday afternoon: Salo at Mart of furniture, plated ware, liouso, sciocn, book.', under bill of sale. A very large attendance, bidding fairly brisk, good price? were obtained upon the Jwho.'e; piano, £32 ; harmonium, £15 10s. Friday : Market-day sue of poultry, produce, Ac., at mart, well attended, brisk competition for most lines. A good supply of poultry, which »old well. Produce of good quality realised very satisfactory prices.
