London, July 16. The telegram regarding the TTnion. Bank dividend, should have read as follows :—The Union Bank of Australia has declared a dividend for the past half-year at the rate of 16 per cent, per annum, and carries forward and places to the reserve a sum of £36,000 (not £56,000). LONDON MARKETS. London, July 16. Consols are 99];, an advance of \. Now Zealand securities are un« changed. The market rate remains at £, and the bank rate at 2 per cent. The weekly returns of the Bank of England show the total amount of reserve in notes and bullion to be £17,800,000, an increase of £400,000 during the week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is 45 per cent., being 4 per cent, lower than last week.
