ECCLESIASTICAL.
The continuation of the aeries of Lenten sermons on " The Human Heart," now being preached by the incumbent of St. Matthew's is announced for to-morrow evening. A very large congregation seemed to thoroughly appreciate the introductory discourse oa Sunday last, as well as to join in the appropriately chosen hymns. The Rev. Professor Salmond, D.D., of Otago, is announced to preach at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church to-morrow morning. The Rev. A. Reid will deliver a disconrae in the Pitt-street Wesleyan Church, on Sun» day morning, on the subject, " Ought Young Men of New Zealand to volunteer for Military Service in the Soudan ?" In the evening Mr. W. S. Allen, M.P., England, will conduat the service. The Rev. Mr. Bavin, of the Graffcon Rond Wesleyan Church, who has been Buffering from illness for some time past, has sufficiently recovered to be able to be about again. It is expected that he will be able to undertake the services at that church tomorrow. The anniversary services of tbe Primitive Methodist Church, Alexandra-street, take place to-morrow. The ftev. Worboys will preach in the morning, and the Eev. W. 8. Potter in the evening; and the Reva. Spurgeon, Bavin, JTraser, and Hill will address the v public meeting on Tuesday. Rev. 0. Worboys preaches on "Sanl and the Witch of Endor," in the Methodist Free Churob, Pitt and Vincent Streets, to-morrow evening; it being the first of e.aerie* of dim--, cult texts.
