THE GUILDFIELDS.
The following telegram was reoeived yesterday afternoon from the mine manager of the Moanataiari Extended :—" Cut two feet into a lode north end; see gold." Bright Smile.—The mine manager reports : 1 jjot a leader to-day and cat into it. It is four inches thick where cat, and is looking very well for gold, and is in good working country. I will drive on it for two or three days before breaking it down. The cross-cut is now 40 feet. Qctekn. —The mine manager reports : I have riaen for the last fortnight 15 feet, making a total of 40 feet. The leader is improving all the time. The crashing dirt I am now saving will go from an ounce and a-ha'f to two ounces per ton. [by telbgeaph—own correspondent.! Thamks, Thursday evening. Sharemarket. —Cambria, 10s, sellers 10s, buyers 9s 6d ; Moanataiari Extended, sellers Iβ 9d, buyers Is 6d; Queen of Beauty, sellers, 2s. MeANATAiARi Extksdbd.—Another lode met in the northern cross-cut has been penetrated two feet., It: shows colours of gold. It is almost vertical, striking east and west. Being near the Cambria boundary, that mine will have a large share of it, while it will run across the whole of the Moanataiari Extended. The Cambria has bought a lia'f interest in the Moanataiari Extended shaft and plant. Calbdqnian.— The lode was broken down in the winze to-day. It is about a foot Yiide, and shows colours of gold. Cambria.—The manager has been instructed to drive on the hangingwall of the reef to the Moanataiari boundary.
