, [BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] ' • Ohristchuroh, Saturday.; A branch office of the Mutual Life Insurance Association of Australasia has been established in place of" the former District Agency. Auckland has hitherto? been 'the principal office for : the whole, of New Zealand, but on recommendation to Sydney the Board, by the Secretary, Mr. J. C. Remington, supported the Hon.- A. Stuart, Deputy Chairman of the Association during his visit to Ghristchurcb, and Mr. A. G. Morton, Chairman of the Auckland branch, a local Board has been formed here with the Hon. W. Reeves, M.L.C.,' and; Mr. R. H. Webb as directors, to have control over all the company's ■ agencies in the ' South Island, aided by Mr. J. J. Spring, district agent for Otago. The association is the second oldest in the colonies, and the first to issue life policies free from all restrictions. ' ~ ,, ;,.;,.
