NEW ZEALAND AND THE SO UDAN.

Dunedin, Saturday. Up to noon to-day, Mr. Fulton had received applications from sixty persons willing to undertake service in the Soudan. One female offered to go as nurse. Christohurcs, Saturday.Captain Hammersley, of the C Battery, and Captain Martin, of the E Battery, offer to proceed to the Soudan, the former with 50 men from the South, the latter with 30 men of his battery. The offer has been forwarded to the Government by Colonel McLean. Great enthusiasm prevails among volunteers here in regard to proceeding to the Soudan. Several officers and men have exfiressed their readiness to join a New Zeaand contingent, if formed, and it is calculated that 200 partly drilled men could be enrolled. Port Chalmers, Sunday. ' The Port Chalmers Naval Artillery have offered to proceed to the Soudan.", The men are principally seamen, and if the offer is accepted would be found very useful.
