East Coast is still lower in price, and a further decline in all qualities appears probable. We quote Poor ordinary, from 30s downwards; fair ordinary. 34a to 35a ; best ordinary, 38*; East Coaxt, 48« to 49«. Supplies from Ist to Bth January are 81 tous. We append a statement of monthly supplies for last twelve calendar months, and comparison of exports during la« 1. fourteen years, from which it will be noted that more gum was exported in 1884 than in any previous year, viz., no less than 6537 torn/. Exports of kauri gum from .Auckland for laoc 14 years 1871, 5206 tonu ; 1872, 4684 tons ; 1873, 2619 tons; 1874, 2196 tons; 1875, 3127 tons ; 1876, 2871 tons ; 1877, 3448 tons ; 1878, 3410 tons ; 1879, 3247 tons: 1880, 4698 tons; 1881, 5486 tons: 1882, 5229 tons; 1883, 6356 tons ; 1884, 6537 tons. Supplies of kauri gum in Auckland for the lant 12 months January, 609 tons ; February, 475 tons ; March, 599 tons; April, 590 tons ; May, 556 ton*; June, 483 tons; July, 410 tons; August, 506 tons ; September, 519 tons; October, 385 tons; November, 490 tons ; December, 447 tons.
