Cambridge, Wednesday. The petitions for and against the bringing the Impounding Aot into force in Cambridge West have been finally deoided upon by the County Counoil, which declines to move in the matter, considering that the accommodation afforded by the public pound in Cambridge East is quite sufficient. The Cambridge-Kihikihi swamp road, which haß lately been fascined and clayed by the Waipa Council, from being positively dangerous is now one of the best untnetalled roads in the distriot. All that is required is to prooure the use of a traction engine, and gravel the swamp road from the gravel pit at the one end of it. The working of the engine would consolidate the formation, and make it one of the best roads in Waikato.
