Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co.) has reached this port from London, and Captain Glazebrook still retains command. As upon former trips, the barque comes into harbour in in a most neat and trim order, and her passengers all speak very highly of the attention paid to them during the passage, which has been upon the present occasion a somewhat long and tedious one, although noticeable for its extreme fineness of weather. Having explosives on board, the Alastor had to bring up at the powder ground. Of the passage Captain Glazebrook reports as follows :—Took departure from the East India Docks on the Ist of January, and proceeded to Gravesend, whore we reoeived our gunpowder, sailing again on the 4th. Owing to a strong westerly gale was forced to bring up in the Downs, where the vessel lay until 8 a.m. on the 7th, when another start was made, and from thence fine weather prevailed—in ■ faot, the passage throughout was remarkable for the fineness of the weather and the tantalising nature of the windß. The equator was orossed on the Bth February in 27* W. Passed the meridian of the Cape of Good Hope on the Ist of March, and Tasmania was rounded on the Bth of April. Sighted the Three Kings on the 19 th instant. Down the coast light E. and S.E. winds.

The barque Stanley, Captain Clausen, from Java, arrived in harbour on Friday, April 18, with a cargo of sugar for the New Zealand Sugar Company. The barque and her commander are both strangerii to the port. Captain Clausen reports having left Sourabaya on the 23rd of January last, and. having had very light winds and calms beforn reaohing tho S.E. trades, which were very light. Sailed eastward on the 44" lat., the wind varying from N.E. to N.'W. nearly all the time, and had several strong gales from the N.W. when about Cape Leuwin. Passed the meridian of; Cape Leuwin on the 22nd of Maroh, «rad the South Cape of Tasmania on the 3Ut of March. From South Cape to the Three Kings had very unsettled weather. Passed the Three Kings on the 11th of April, and the North Cope on the 13th, and had very tantalising oalm° down the coast. Oa the 13th passed a three-masted schooner (QHTD), 16 miles S.E. of North Cape, steering N.W. On the 10(ih, 70 miles west of the Three Kings, fasspd a Urge barque and three-masted sohooner, steering west, bat too far off to uialce any signals.

The barque Rebecca Orowell paid her second visit to this port, arriving ia harbour on Sunday, April 20. Upon the present occasion the barque is from New York, Daoerabar 11 last, via Wellington, and she is still under the samo command as when she first visited her*.
