Success.—We received the following mine manager's report yesterday :—For the week past there is but little of importance to report from the mine. I have discontinued the last stopii, and timbered up, leaving open an intermediate level. I have started to open 'out again. The reef is rather broken at present, showing but little gold, although the appearance of the' ground about the reef is in every way what conld be desired for coming on a patch at any moment. Caledonian Low Level. —The drive at the 640 feet level lias been extended a further. distance of 31 feet for the paet week, making the total distance from the starting point 254 feet. During the week two leaders have been met with, tho first about six inches, the other eight inches, betides a series of quartz stringers have been passed through, some of the latter containing a considerable amount of mineral, and of a promising appearance. _ The country is still tight, but nevertheless is a good class of count ry for gold.
