THE WAIPA ELECTORATE.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib, —I observe in your issue of to-day, that Mr. Hill has been largely and influentially requisitioned to stand for the Waipa seat, in the " Liberal" interest. It is a somewhat strange occurrence that no one, as far as I can ascertain, has yet seen the requisition at any of the centres of population. lam glad Mr. Hill, at all events, had the good sense to decline the proposition made to him, •whether by a large or small section of the community, as it is veil known that oatside of Raglan he would not have the smallest chance of success. The good man has learnt the value of the proverb, that discretion is the better part of valour.-— I am, &c., Waipa Electob.
