'which suffere no abatement by repetition/ Indeed, the singing is now so good, the.stage.busi\ nees so varied and brilliant, tho jeux-d'eiipril. so clever, and the movement of the piece.ao rapid, that, as an example of the .lighter operatic entertainment, this ie aa nearly, perfect as possible. Miss Nellie Stewart is so piquante and charming that she has become a general favourite.. Miss, Fanny Liddiard divides with her the honours of each night's applause. Mr. Howard Vernon.sndJ. Mr, VVoodfield are artists of great ability, as well as vocalists of thorough proficienby and finish. "La Mascotte" oan be .performed only three times more, namely, to-night,. Monday, and Tuesday. Scenery, costumes,: armour, &c, must be packed and shipped for other towns of New Zealand by day next. A word of special mention must. b& made of Messrs. Wallace and Kelly's buffo acting and singing. The new ops>ra " Olivette , ' will be produoed on Wednesday. The management is certainly entitled to eay that no such organisation of a dramatic and lyric entertainment has been seen in .. this coiocy. Such an 'entertainment contributes to the elevation of popular taste in respect of amusement. It deserves the largest measure of support for the manner in , which the management has kept faith with the public.
