CHRISTIAN UNION AT THE GRAVE.
The Christian World reports a recent instance Vhich occured at Cumberland of a happy arrangement of the burial difficulty, •" A yourrg girl, the member of a Congregational CS.hulreh at Brigham, under the pastorate of the Rev. Robert Jackson, was buried in the ctturchyard of tha parish. The vicar, the Rev. \J. F. Pollock," intimated to Mr. Jackson lr.is willngness that ho should take part in the service. The vicar and minister met the fun oval at the gate, and walked together in a {.louring rain under one umbrella to the churV-h, where fhving to the state of the weatt;er, most of the service was peformed. T:he Dissenting minister read the lesson fr'oin the reading-desk. At the gra\re, the clergymen briefly consigned the body to.its reetiing-place, while Mr. Jaokson stood at his righvt hand, sheltering him with hia umbrella from'the rain;"
