(Received February 1, 10 p.m.] THE INVALIDATED ELECTIONS. Sydney, February 1. In the Legislative Assembly to-day, the Government Bill for validating the seats of the Hons. G. H. Reid and H. C. Cohen, and Mr. Sutton and others, was under consideration. Mr. Sutton's seat was ultimately declared vacant, in opposition to the Government. IJhe Hon. G. H. Reid announced his intention of seeking re-election. THE SUEZ MAIL. Melbourne, February I. Arrived, this morning : The Orient Company's steamship Garonne, with' the mails via Suez and Brindisi, dated London, December 12, consisting of 195 bags. The New Zealand portion of the mails is being forwarded via Sydney and Auckland. THE RIVERINA QUESTION. Melbourne, February 1. At a meeting of the Riverina residents to-night, a committee was ap pointed to inaugurate a separatioi league. SYDNEY MARKET. Sydney, February 1. New Zealand wheat is 3s 6d, NewZealand oats 3s, maize 4s 6d, and the Sugar Company's No. 1 pieces per ton £3i. THE WAIHORA. Sydney, February 1. Sailed, this afternoon: The Unioa steamship Waihora, for Auckland.
