AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY.
The two-monthly meeting of the Auckland Presbytery was held yesDcrday morning, in St. Andrew's Church. Present: JBeva. J. Bruce (Moderator), Macnicol, MacKenzie Fraser, Oarrick, Macky, Dunn, Monro, Neill, Nome, Souimerville, McKinney, Runciman, Kilien, and lirwin. Elders r Messrs. Bell, Carruth, and Rejbura. Rt.v. Mr. Boyd.—The Rev. Mr. Boyd, from New South Wales, was introduced by the Rev. McKenzie Fraser, and received as a minister of the Auckland Presbytery, his credentials beicg regarded as satisiaotory. Waipct.—The report of the commission on the induoLiou of the Rev. A. McLean to the cliurcli at Waipu was read. Hamilton.—A letter was received from the Rev. Mr. Ogg, of Wellington, with r.-ference to the salary of Mr. Reyburn, missionary student at Hamilton. Tue Church Exteusiou Committee desired the Auckland Preabytery to take action in the matter. Mr. Ueyburn was only receiving £100 pev annum, with free house.—lt waa agretv! ihat Mr. Macnicol, who received tne letter, write to Mr. Ogg, informing him that the Presbytery did not see its way to intenerc in the matter. Whangarei.—The Rev. Mr. Macnicol reported on his moderation in the call of the Rev. Mr. Kilien to the charge of Whangarei. A call from residents in the district to R«v. Mr. Kilien was also read. Some discussion then took place on a question raised by Kev. Mr. Nome as to wheiher the sum of £10 was due by this charge to a student who had officiated at the church.—Rev. Mr. Kilien said that Tauranga had gone back so much it waa not now in a position to support a minister. He accepted the call at Whanga- ) rei.—lt was agreed that the Revs. J. Bruce, Sommerville, beta commission I the Rev. Mr. Kilien to the charge at* Whaogarei, on the 17th inst., at half-past seveu p.m.
Taurakga.—lt was'resolved, "That the Rev. Mr. Todd, of Onehunga, be requested to supply the vacancy at Tauranga for a short time." Waiuku.—The Rev. Mr. Norrie reported that he had preached this charge vacant. Infirm Ministers.—Revs. J. Macky, McKenzie Fraser, and Sommerville were appointed a committee to take the necessary steps in regard to the Aged and Infirm Ministers Fund. Mew Hymx-bo k —The Revs. McKenzie Fraser, Runeiman, Maonicol, Monro, and Sommerville, and Messrs. Gow, Peacock, and Buchauati were appointed a committee to examine the new hymn-book called " Church Praise," issued by the Presbyterian Church of England ; the committee to report at next meeting of the Presbytery. Students.—Rev. Mr. Monro reported that Mr. Neville (student) had been, and Mr. Norrie (student) was now atteudiag him regularly for Hebrew.
