TH E AUCKLAND RAILWAY STATION.

Pii-xsot the railwjj station to be erected on the reclaimed land at Queen-street have now reached Auck'aud. It is a handsome and commodious buildiug, and, so far as appearance and convenience are concerned, satisfies all thoso who have seen it. .;, The building has a tower, and is 2SO feet long by 30 feet. It is proposed that the building shall stand bark from Queen-street some distance, and shall present tho narrow end to that strest, the front of tho station facing seawards. To this strong objections ; are bting mad?, and it is urg'd that the station should preent the extended front to Queenstreet. We are not in a position.to discues this point. We understand that the Minis-' ter of Public Woriie is being communicated with on the subiect. ,-.''■ ■ ,_'__
