FOOTBALL.
A football match was played atOnehnnga on ] Saturday, 22nd, between the Auckland G. S. 2nd 15 and the Onehunga' G. S. 15, which resulted in a wiu for the A. G. S. by one try to nil. Winks and Calvert played well for the A. G. S., while Howard, Daniell, and Hunt did likewise for the O. G. S. Darnell i and Hunt were most conspicuous for their speeling, once getting within three yards and ten yards respectively of the goal line. [from our own orrbsposdest.] Cambhidoe, Monday. The return match between the Cambridge and Hamilton colts came off in the Govern- | ment paddock hero on Saturday and resulted linadmw. The Hamilton team was captained by J. Aitken and the Cambridgo by H Franklin. Mr. Grey acted as umpire for Cambridge and Mr, E. Pilling for Hamilton The visitors were entertained at a dinner at Gillett's National Hotel in the evening. Tnn will probably be the last football match of the season in Waikato, as the cricket season has now commenced.
